PROJECT SUMMARY: This project will provide one year of operating support to Margadarshi's Home for Disabled Women as it provides care for its 30 residents (women and girls between the ages of 10 and 40). It is offered as a home for physically-challenged women with no means of supporting themselves, and provides them with residential care, medical care, physiotherapy, and offers training in vocational skills and life skills. The Margadarshi Home's goal is to prepare its residents to enter society as educated, well-equipped individuals capable of economic independence.
A gift of US$ 59,482.50 will provide support services for 30 women and girls with disabilities for one year as Margadarshi teaches them the skills to live and work autonomously.
