Ayala Foundation bridges community transformation and growth through programs and projects that bring opportunities which create new, dynamic possibilities.
A shy school boy born in the slums of Manila, Elwince Magbitang evolved into a confident, highly talented dancer who is set to train in one of the most prestigious ballet schools in New York City. His remarkable dance journey started in the after hours ballet classes under our CENTEX program from which he graduated.
Hanifa Abas is a young woman from the southern Philippine province of Maguindanao who sought to empower school dropouts by teaching them marketable skills and harnessing their potential for leadership. A fellow under our training and mentoring program called Leadership Communities, she now leads her group in running a profitable “crab-fattening” business.
Through suitable and sustainable community development programs, Ayala Foundation seeks to improve the lives of Filipinos in different parts of the Philippines.
As the social development arm of Ayala Corporation, Ayala Foundation envisions communities where people are productive, creative, self-reliant, and proud to be Filipino.
Established in 1961, Ayala Foundation implements programs in virtually all geographic regions in the country, with partnerships established across a wide network of government, non-governmental, corporate, and community-based organizations, as well as private individuals.
With programs in two key areas, namely (1) Social Development focusing on Education, Community Leadership, Suitable and Sustainable Livelihood, and (2) Arts and Culture by managing Ayala Museum and the Filipinas Heritage Library, Ayala Foundation is one of the country’s leaders in charitable and corporate giving.
